Make this easy bagel pizzas recipe for a fun twist for pizza night! Homemade pizza bagel bites are way better than store-bought and still come together fast.

Do you remember when I shared my recipe for easy 2-Ingredient Bagels?
Well, one of the reasons I wanted to make that recipe is because I wanted to make THIS recipe –bagel pizzas!
I remember having homemade bagel pizzas as a kid as a fun alternative to pizza night, and it’s something I wanted to share with my own kids too.
I’m so glad I did too, because not only did my kids LOVE this bagel pizzas recipe, but it’s TOO easy not to make!
HOMEMADE BAGEL PIZZAS RECIPE
Friday night is pizza night at our house, and I usually make this Einkorn Pizza Dough Recipe (or try this Traditional Pizza Dough Recipe if you aren’t sensitive to gluten).
But, ever since that first night that I made this homemade bagel pizzas recipe, my kids have been BEGGING for these instead of traditional pizza!
I love homemade pizza bagels because:
- They’re ready REALLY fast (under 10 minutes!)
- They are freezer-friendly.
- They’re fun!
- They taste AMAZING.
- They’re perfect for family dinners, after-school snack, or lunch in the summer!
- I can teach my kids how to make pizza bagels too – it’s so easy!
These would be perfect for a birthday party, where each kid could top their bagel pizza however they wanted. How fun would that be?!

BAGEL PIZZAS RECIPE INGREDIENTS
I know you can buy bagels for pizza from Walmart (Thomas brand I think?), but homemade bagels are WAY better. Plus, you know exactly what’s in them!
Here’s what you need to make my bagel pizzas recipe:
- Plain Bagels. I highly recommend my 2-Ingredient Bagel Recipe – easy, homemade, and ready in under 30 minutes!
- Pizza Sauce. My easy homemade pizza sauce recipe mixes up super fast, and you can also make a large batch and freeze it for future pizza-making.
- Shredded Mozzarella Cheese. Fresh or part-skim mozzarella, your choice.
- Pepperoni. Or other favorite pizza toppings you like – Italian sausage, mushrooms, green bell peppers, black olives, even pineapple!
We’re traditionalists when it comes to pizza bagel toppings, so we always go for pepperoni slices, but you can top them with whatever toppings you want. Just make sure the toppings are cut small enough to fit on the bagel!

This bagel pizzas recipe is best served right away, but you can store leftover bagel pizzas in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven or air fryer rather than the microwave for crispier leftovers.
BAGEL PIZZAS RECIPE TIPS AND VARIATIONS
Don’t overdo the toppings. Stick with small pieces of your toppings of choice and just a few on each bagel pizza. Mini pepperonis work really well too!
Try flavored bagels. Add sesame seeds, garlic powder, everything bagel seasoning, or your savory bagel toppings of choice to your bagels before baking them. They’ll add extra flavor to your pizza bagels.
Get creative with your topping combos. Use BBQ sauce and top with cooked shredded chicken and diced red onions. Try ham and pineapple for a Hawaiian bagel pizza. Other tasty toppings that come to mind include: tomatoes, fresh basil, parmesan cheese, pesto, oregano, and Canadian bacon!

WHAT TO SERVE WITH HOMEMADE BAGEL PIZZAS
Pizza night still needs veggies! Serve homemade bagel pizzas with a healthy salad on the side, like one of these:
- Best Kale Salad
- Spinach Salad with Apples and Cranberries
- Chicken Southwest Salad
- Vegetable Greek Salad
For dessert, you can serve Black Bean Brownies. Yum!
PIZZA BAGEL FAQS
Can you freeze bagel bites?
Yes! Bake and cool the bagel pizzas as directed. Then freeze them in a single layer on a baking sheet (I have these USA baking sheets). Once frozen, you can move the pizzas to an airtight container or resealable bag for storage and freeze for up to 3 months.
How do you reheat frozen bagel bites?
Preheat the oven to 400F and put the bagels on a single layer on a baking sheet (I have these USA baking sheets). Warm them for about 5-10 minutes, or until the cheese is warmed through again.
How do you keep the bagel pizzas recipe from getting soggy?
Store-bought bagels are softer than homemade bagels, so you may want to lightly toast them before adding toppings to avoid soggy homemade bagel pizzas. Broiling at the end of the baking time can also help with crispiness.
