Instructions

  1. Line an 8”x8” glass baking dish with parchment paper, leaving some extra on the sides for overhang.
  2. In a small saucepan, melt 2 cup of chocolate and 14 oz of milk until the mixture is smooth. Pour into the prepared baking dish.
  3. If you’re using ½ cup of natural peanut butter, stir it well and pour it into one or two strips over the chocolate in the pan. If you’re using conventional peanut butter, it helps to microwave ½ a cup of peanut butter for 30 seconds to make it soft.
  4. Using a butter knife, weave back and forth from one end of the pan to the other, making a swirl of peanut butter within the chocolate.
  5. Freeze the fudge for at least 30 minutes, or place in the refrigerator for a couple hours.
  6. Remove the fudge from the pan using the overhang of parchment paper and cut into 24 pieces.

Notes

  • The chocolate mixture will cool quickly, so make sure your baking dish is lined and ready to go before melting the chocolate.
  • If you use natural peanut butter, make sure you stir it well! Creamy peanut butter or crunchy peanut butter both work.
  • If you are using conventional peanut butter, you can microwave it for 20-30 seconds to get a thinner consistency for pouring.
  • To REALLY save time, just melt all the ingredients together in the saucepan and pour it into the baking dish. There’s no need to add the peanut butter separately – it’s just for good looks! The peanut butter flavor will infuse with the chocolate for a perfect creamy chocolate fudge.
  • To keep homemade fudge soft, store it in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week. Storing it in the refrigerator long-term will dry it out. You can also freeze this peanut butter fudge recipe but thaw it on the counter before enjoying it.
