The Best Green Smoothie Recipes

Use this framework to make your own green smoothie recipes or try my favorite simple green smoothie combo! Find great ideas for smoothie flavors and add-ins too, plus make your favorite green smoothies ahead of time with frozen smoothie packs.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup almond milk (or your milk of choice)
  • 1 banana
  • 1 cup spinach
  • 1 cup fruit (berries, pineapple, mango, or a mixture – see post for more flavor ideas)
  • 1 Tbsp maple syrup (optional – only add if you’re used to very sweet smoothies and need to baby-step into whole foods)

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients to the blender in the order listed.
  2. Blend for 60 seconds, until smooth and well combined.

Notes

  • If you don’t have a high-powered blender, you can still make great smoothies. I recommend blending in stages:
    1. Blend the milk + spinach until they’re all blended up.
    2. Then add the banana and blend until smooth.
    3. Finally, add whatever flavorful fruit is left and blend until smooth.
