Everyone should have their go-to recipe for various categories. A dinner that’s easy to throw together for last minute company. A favorite side dish for fellowship meals. Dessert that tastes great with any type of cuisine.
That’s why I created the mandarin orange cheesecake. It’s really a simple recipe that can be turned into all sorts of fun variations – and ya’ll know how I love to keep things simple!
One variation is this delectable vanilla bean cheesecake. A minor swap and you have a refreshing strawberry key lime cheesecake. Oranges are frugal and generally available year-round, making the mandarin orange cheesecake the go-to dessert in the recipe box.
The best part? Every section – the crusts, filling and topping – can all be tailored to fit your food needs and your pantry!
I’m sharing the mandarin orange cheesecake recipe over at Happy Wives Club today where I have been blessed with the opportunity to be a contributor in their food section. If you haven’t visited HWC before, their mission is to “positively change the tone about marriage around the world, finding 1 mission women who are living their lives happily ever after.” It’s a wonderfully upbeat blog, encouraging women to love their husbands and their marriage. There’s ideas on date nights, a fun travel section and even a health & fitness area with Olympian Annett Davis as the editor!
Head over to read my post and remember what your grandma always told you – the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach! 😉
This recipe seems perfect for a brunch. I always struggle to come up with healthier-for-you brunch recipes. You know- among the spread of pastries and cheesy dishes!
Ooh, it would be good for brunch! You could make it in a 9×13 dish too for easier serving if you’d like. 🙂
