Homemade Fajita Seasoning

You’ll love this easy homemade fajita seasoning recipe. It’s perfect on chicken, shrimp, steak and even fajita vegetables. Use it to make slow cooker chicken fajitas or even as a substitute for taco seasoning on taco night.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 tsp chili powder
  • 2 tsp ground cumin
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 2 tsp granulated sugar (optional)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ¼½ tsp cayenne pepper
  • ½1 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Combine in a jar with at least ½ cup capacity.
  2. Shake well before using.
  • Makes about ¼ cup. 
  • Store with other spices.
  • When making fajitas, use approximately 1 Tbsp seasoning per pound of meat, or more if desired.

Notes

  • This recipe makes about ¼ cup, but you’ll want to use a jar with 1/2 cup capacity for mixing / shaking.
