And that many of you struggle with food allergies too.
Quite the conundrum this is.
My family has been blessed with not having to deal with food allergies… yet. But I’m learning vicariously through a really good friend who is learning first hand how to deal with food allergies and a limited grocery budget, ever since her toddler was diagnosed with an allergy to dairy earlier this year.
We chatted last weekend over homemade pizza and (too many) cookies on ways for managing food allergies on a budget, without going crazy… or broke. The tips had to be practical, easy to implement and not too time consuming, since dealing with food allergies usually means cooking more from scratch, which 9 times out of 10 means more time in the kitchen.
